George Goodridge, son of an architectural engineer is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, New York and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was awarded the position of Senior Technical Adviser to the Student Body at the School of the Art Institute and has taught Visual Techniques at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Best know for his three dimensional stretched canvas works, George has relocated several times between NYC, Los Angeles and Miami. He is a member of the Sculptors Guild, New York and has participated in the Art Center South Florida’s artist residency program, Scope, Pulse and numerous satellite Art Fairs during Art Basel Miami. His work has been represented in numerous galleries, museums, and corporate collections.

He has been recently featured on the Syndicated News Network, featured and reviewed in LandEscape Art Review Magazine, WhiteHot Magazine of Contemporary Art,  Art Vetting, The Examiner, multiple feature articles for The Miami Herald, Art South Florida, Xs Magazine, New Times Magazine, Tropiculture Magazine  and has been featured in multiple broadcasts for PBS.

He considers his current works three-dimensional paintings or object paintings. These new works are supported by the artist’s prior studies in geometric reconstruction, three-dimensional painting and conceptual installations.
